The Brand
When was the last time you ordered something off an airplane? It’s probably been awhile, and if it was recent, I’m betting it was something shelf stable like chips or pretzels. United Airlines has revolutionized in-flight dining with their innovative Buy Onboard Program, Bistro on Board.
Recognizing the success and popularity of Bistro on Board, United tasked my team with the exciting opportunity to rebrand the program. With a fresh palette and a new photography style, we aimed to create a menu design that embodies modernity, provides essential information, and captivates the eye. Our strategy for this design was to offer flexibility in the offerings, allowing for easy swapping of new items with the use of overhead photography.
